Ingredients

  • 15 oz canned Black Beans drained and rinsed
  • 2-3 Tbsp Roasted Brown Rice Powder
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • ½ tsp Yu Sencha Powder
  • OR ½ tsp Yu Decaf Sencha Powder
  • 1 cup of Date Paste
  • OR 1 cup of Date Syrup
  • ¾ cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Line a 7" round cake pan with parchment paper.
  3. Process the first 5 ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
  4. Mix the oats, baking powder and baking soda in a seperate bowl.
  5. Add the oat mix to the processor and process until smooth.
  6. Spread batter into the prepared cake pan. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, if you wish. We used hazelnuts.
  7. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until nicely set, but not too dry. Cool on a wire rack.
  8. When cooled, cover with plastic wrap and keep in the fridge for a few days. The flavor deepens as it "ages."
